Historical Topographic

Historical topographical maps are available for much of the country and date back to the late 1800 ’s. A valuable source for complying with standards established by the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM), historical topographical maps can provide site information for a variety of subjects: soil composition, wetland data, geological composition, historical land use, and more. For some sites, historical topographical maps might not be available before 1940, so it is important that these records be investigated prior to claiming "data failure" under the standard. Historical topographical maps:

• Date back to the late 1800's
• Show changes in land use
• Display geological information
• Illustrate potential environmental concerns
• Are available in color reproductions

You can also request a GeoPlus Package, a complete research tool that combines a Radius Report, Wetlands Map, Oil & Gas and Soil Map along with selected water wells.
